Coneflower

Coneflower is another tough-as-nails perenniel that blooms in sun or part shade. My garden thus far has had only the traditional pink/purple variety, with a few plants with white blooms. The pink variety seeds itself liberally and spreads. Happily, for us lazy gardeners, it is not invasive and is easy to control. There are new colors that have been developed recently, which I am trying out this year.
